I swore by my old hand crank blower for years until I borrowed a friend's electric one for a Damascus billet.
The steady, hands-free air flow let me focus on the weld and gave me a much cleaner stack with zero cold shuts, which completely changed my view after that single afternoon in his Tacoma shop.

Yeah, that steady air flow is the whole game. I fought with a hand crank for way too long before I switched. You just can't beat having both hands free to manage the stack and the heat. It's one of those things where you don't know what you're missing until you try it. After that first clean weld, going back to cranking feels like a real step backwards.

Totally, it's a complete game changer. I was stubborn about it for ages but once you get that smooth, even burn there's no going back. It just makes the whole process so much less of a fight.
