Trying to forge a simple leaf keychain for my niece. The scroll at the base took me 4 hours to get right. How long do you guys spend on small decorative stuff?

Whole evening" sounds about right. I once spent three hours on a tiny feather detail that most people would never notice. The time just disappears when you're in that zone.

Remember that scroll work takes forever to get symmetrical. I'll spend a whole evening just filing and smoothing a tiny vine pattern on a pendant. Does the time feel worth it when you see the final piece?
