Changed my mind about teaching newbies with Catan
Tried it with 4 friends last weekend and the resource trading just caused arguments for 2 hours straight. What's a better intro game that avoids direct player conflict?

Oh man, try something cooperative like Pandemic instead.

Yeah cooperative games are a great idea. Honestly I saw a review that said Pandemic can get pretty intense when you're all trying to stop outbreaks together. Tbh it sounds way better than just arguing over who gets the best properties. Makes for a fun night without the hurt feelings.
