Dropped $70 on that fancy Kickstarter board game organizer and it was a total scam
I backed this big Kickstarter for a wooden organizer that was supposed to fit all my expansions for a popular dungeon crawler. The thing cost me $70 with shipping and took eight months to arrive. When I got it, the trays didn't fit the cards right and the whole thing wobbled on the table. I tried sanding down the edges but it just made a mess and the wood started splintering. Honestly, I should have just stuck with my stack of zip lock bags like I always do. Has anyone else had luck with those cheap plastic organizers from Amazon or am I better off just bagging everything forever?

Dropped $70 on that fancy Kickstarter board game organizer" is exactly why I stopped backing anything on Kickstarter for board game accessories. I've had pretty good luck with a few cheap plastic organizers from Amazon, they don't look as nice but they fit right and cost like $20. That said, nothing beats ziploc bags for keeping things simple and actually working.

Man, "nothing beats ziploc bags" is so true. I had a buddy who went all in on one of those fancy wooden organizers from Kickstarter, the one with all the little dividers and a foam insert. It took like eight months to arrive, and when it finally showed up, the whole thing was warped from shipping. He tried to fix it with a heat gun and made it worse (of course). He ended up tossing it and now uses a shoebox with baggies for all his game tokens. Said it was the best $70 lesson he ever learned.
