Guy at my FLGS swore by dice trays, I laughed, now I get it

Last month a regular at Game Haven in Austin kept pushing his $12 felt tray on me and I said nah, table rolls were fine. Two weeks later my D20 bounced off a stack of cards and landed in someone's drink, so I finally caved and bought one. Anyone else had a cheap accessory they ignored that actually saved a session?

Bought a dice jail for the same reason. Now the dice go to timeout mid-game.
