My old group used to think a 'campaign' meant you just played the same game twice

Honestly, they'd set up Gloomhaven for a second session and skip all the story bits and map stickers, which totally misses the point. Anyone else run into people who don't get legacy or campaign mechanics?

Ugh, that's rough... I just started a new group by being super clear up front. I'd say something like "this game has a story that builds each time, like a book," so they know what they're getting into. It saves the headache later when someone just wants to reset the board.
