Pro tip: That guy who told me to ditch my card sleeves was right
Back in 2018 at Dice House Games in Portland, some random guy named Tom told me I was ruining my deck by using penny sleeves on my Arkham Horror LCG cards. I ignored him for 3 years until I finally upgraded to Dragon Shields for $10 a pack. The difference in shuffle feel and durability is night and day, and now I get why he was so pushy. Anyone else have a stranger at a local shop give you advice that actually stuck?

Man I had almost the exact opposite happen... some older guy at Guardian Games told me to stop using Dragon Shields on my commander deck because they were too thick and would wreck the cards in my box. Been using Katanas ever since and honestly he was right about the fit, they slide way better in tight deck boxes. Funny how random strangers can just change your whole setup like that.

Dude, the "random strangers can just change your whole setup" thing is so real. I had some guy at my LGS tell me I was an idiot for double-sleeving with perfect fits inside Dragon Shields (said it was like putting a pillow inside a mattress, which honestly makes sense). Switched to Katanas for the outer sleeves and never looked back, they just slide so smooth in those Ultimate Guard boxes. Funny how one random comment from a stranger can just stick with you and flip everything around.
