Serious question, did a competitive game ever break up your friend circle?

Man, I used to roll my eyes when people said stuff like this. Figured they were just too into it. But yeah, Valorant totally did a number on my old group. We’d be yelling at each other over a lost match, calling each other garbage. Next thing you know, people just stopped hopping in the Discord call. Felt like we forgot how to just hang out without the game turning us against each other. Really sucks.

Honestly, that mic story is wild but I get it. Tbh I saw what @morgan_butler40 said about the yelling breaking up his group and it hit home. My little brother used to play with his friends every night, and you could hear them screaming through the wall. Now they don't even talk, which is just sad. Makes you wonder why we let a game get to us like that.
