Warning: a guy at my local game night told me Catan has sold over 40 million copies worldwide
I looked it up on BoardGameGeek afterward and he was right, which made me wonder how many of those copies are actually still hitting the table versus sitting on a shelf somewhere, so does anyone know the real play rate on something that popular?
Man, I used to figure most of those copies were just collecting dust, but then I joined a weekly group and we've been playing the same beat up box for years. Guess it depends on who owns it.
