Wasted $45 on a Kickstarter board game that never shipped
I backed this dungeon crawler back in March 2022 and the creator kept posting updates but now it's been radio silence for 9 months. The whole campaign raised over $200k and they just ghosted. Anyone else get burned by a Kickstarter game?

Honestly that sucks big time. I had something similar happen with a weird farming sim project a couple years back. What worked for me was filing a dispute with my credit card company, they actually refunded the money since the product never shipped. Tbh most cards have buyer protection for stuff like this, but you usually have to do it within a certain timeframe. Also leaving a comment on the Kickstarter page can sometimes pressure them into responding, even if they've been ghosting everyone.

I actually read somewhere that around 60% of funded Kickstarter projects end up shipping late, so you're definitely not alone in this. A friend of mine had a similar issue with a board game that took over two years to show up, she ended up getting her money back through PayPal's dispute system after the creator stopped answering. The comment on the Kickstarter page idea is solid too, I've seen project pages where backers blowing up the comments actually got a response within a day or two. Just make sure to keep any emails or screenshots you have, those can help a lot if you need to escalate things.
