Bought a cheap welding hood off Amazon and it cost me a headache
Spent about $45 on some no-name brand auto-darkening hood last month. First three welds were fine, then it started flickering on me. By the end of the day I had flash burn so bad I thought I was going blind. Had to take two days off work. Replaced it with a used Speedglas from a guy on Craigslist for $120. Lesson learned on that one. Anyone else get burned by a bargain bin hood?
