Finally stopped fighting my PPE and learned to rig it right

For years I hated the harness at the refinery in Gary. Straps always pinched, buckles slid, I'd adjust it every break. Last month a safety rep showed me the trick of cross-tightening the chest and leg straps in a certain order before you clip in. Took maybe two minutes to get it set once and now I forget I'm wearing it. Anyone else find a fitting method that actually stays put on a long shift?

Used to be convinced those things were just made for different body shapes than mine. But after trying that cross-tightening order before clipping in, it actually stopped shifting on me. Now I just set it once at the start of the day and don't mess with it again.
