Got told my pass-through fillets were 'sloppy' by an old timer. Changed everything about how I lay down metal.

So one old dude said your fillets were sloppy and you changed everything? I mean, was he wearing a welding hood from the 80s and calling you "sonny"? Old timers love to nitpick everything, half the time it's just them trying to feel important. I've had guys tell me my beads looked like bird poop and then turn around and show me their own stuff that looked like a robot having a seizure. Not saying the guy was wrong, but maybe he was just having a bad day or wanted to feel like a big shot. You probably weren't that sloppy to begin with.
