Hit 2,000 hours of stick welding without burning through a single joint, still can't believe it
That number came up on my logbook after a big tank job in Gary, Indiana last Thursday, and it only mattered because my first six months I blew through 40+ plates learning the hard way, so has anyone else kept a running count of their own screwups before the good streak started?

That bit about blowing through 40+ plates hit home, my buddy Ray did the same thing on a pipeline job back in 2016, he kept a little tally on his phone of every blowout and ground-out repair for the first year. He said he hit 63 before things finally clicked, and the funny part is his last two screwups were on the same fitting, he got so mad he threw his hood across the ditch. Now he's the guy guys call when they can't get a root pass to stick, but he still laughs about that tally every time someone brings up their own slope of learning.
