That Tuesday shift where nothing went right
Last Tuesday we had a 60-foot tank to weld up and the crane broke down first thing. Then my wire feeder jammed twice in the first hour. Has anyone else had a day where every single tool just decided to quit on you?

That "60-foot tank to weld up" sounds like a nightmare on its own without the crane breaking. When your wire feeder jams twice in the first hour, you know the rest of the shift is going to be a battle against every tool in the shop. At that point, you're just fighting to make it to quittin' time without snapping a damn tap or blowing a liner.

Damn, @umamoore, you actually had a wire feeder jam twice in the first hour? That's wild. I've had days where everything goes sideways like that, but two jams before you even get going is straight up cursed. It's like the machine knows you have a big job and decides to fight you every step of the way. At that point you're not even welding, you're just surviving until the clock runs out. I don't know how you didn't walk off the job.

Funny you mention it, I had a band saw blade snap clean in half once and then the replacement was the wrong size. Had to spend an hour driving to the supply house just to get back and realize the floor model had the same issue. Sometimes the tools just gang up on you.
