Tried the soap bubble test on my boiler seams and now I feel like an idiot
I was chasing a tiny steam leak on a 300 psi unit at the plant in Gary for two days and a guy named Rick from the next shift told me to just spray soapy water on the cold side. I figured that trick was way too simple for a pressure vessel, so I kept messing with ultrasonic gear instead. Finally tried his way and the bubbles showed the pinhole in about 10 seconds. How long did it take you guys to stop overthinking a basic soap test?
