Bought a cheap corner rounder that mangled a whole batch of covers
I got a $25 corner rounder from a craft store last month, thinking it would be fine for small projects. It worked okay on paper, but when I tried it on some book board for six leather covers, it just crushed and tore the edges. I had to scrap all the board and start over, wasting about $40 in materials. Has anyone found a decent corner rounder that won't destroy thicker materials?

Ugh, that's the worst. Cheap corner rounders are only good for paper, they can't handle book board. You need a heavy duty one with a real cutting mechanism, not just a punch. I learned that the hard way too. The good ones cost more but they actually work.

Wait, you tried to use a cheap corner rounder on actual book board? I can't even imagine the mess that made... like did it just fold the corner instead of cutting it? I had one of those flimsy plastic ones that barely worked on cardstock, let alone something thick. The sound alone must have been awful, like a sad crunching noise.
