Just realized I was overcomplicating my headband glue-ups
I was chatting with a retired binder named Frank at the library in Bellingham last weekend. He saw me fussing with a piece and said, "Kid, you're fighting the leather... let the paste get tacky for a full five minutes before you touch it." I'd always rushed that step, and my headbands were always a bit messy. Letting the paste set changed everything for a clean, tight roll. Anyone have a different method for getting that perfect tack?

A binder in Bellingham?

Huh, Faith, what exactly are you getting at with "a binder in Bellingham" that's so specific? Reese, you say it's no big deal, but the way Faith phrased it makes me think there's a particular story or situation behind it. Was there some kind of weird incident involving an orange three ring binder at a local coffee shop or a meeting I haven't heard about?

Is a binder really that big of a deal up there? It's just a folder for papers... seems like people are making a thing out of nothing. Maybe I'm missing some local drama.
