My week went from a total mess to a win because of a glue choice

Last Monday, I tried a new PVA for a full leather rebind. By Wednesday, the spine was cracking and the boards were pulling away. I switched back to my usual Jade 403, spent Thursday and Friday redoing the whole thing, and it came out perfect. Has anyone else had a project saved by going back to a basic, trusted material?

That Jade 403 is a lifesaver. What was the new PVA you tried that gave you all that trouble?

Yeah, that "basic, trusted material" idea makes you wonder if new stuff is even worth the risk.
