I finally hit the 2,000 mark on farm soil cores last Tuesday in Lancaster County, and what surprised me is that the plain, uniform ground everyone ignores gives the most reliable data for the whole rotation, not the weird wet spots, so has anyone else found that steady boring work beats the dramatic stuff every time?
