Found a guy who still updates his 1997 Duran Duran fan site manually every week

I was looking for old tour dates and stumbled on this site that hasn't changed its layout since Netscape was a thing, but the guy posts new concert recordings in the same ugly tables every Friday. Has anyone else found a weirdly dedicated site like this that just refuses to die or evolve?

oh man, have you seen the one for the old Legend of Zelda fansite that still uses a guestbook? it's called "Zelda's Temple" or something and the guy has been posting weekly updates since like 2001. the layout is just a plain white background with Times New Roman text and links in bright blue, absolutely no CSS whatsoever. he still puts up new fan art scans from issues of Nintendo Power from 1995. it's so wild to see someone keep that going without any social media presence or anything, just pure dedication to a 20 year old hobby site.

Oh man, I remember finding one of those sites for a Final Fantasy 7 fan community back in like 2004. The guy running it had a plain black background with yellow text and a guestbook that still worked. He'd post new screenshots he took from his own playthroughs every Sunday, no matter what. I checked it for years just to see if he was still at it, and he kept going until like 2018. That kind of stubborn dedication is just something you don't see anymore, it's almost like a time capsule you can still interact with. Makes me kind of miss when the internet felt that small and personal.
