Spent 3 hours on a site that catalogs parking lot pavement cracks in Ohio
I stumbled across parkinglotpavementcracksohio.net last night and actually scrolled through 47 pages of asphalt photos before I realized what I was doing. Has anyone else fallen into a weirdly specific rabbit hole like this that was somehow fascinating despite being totally boring?

Honestly, the real rabbit hole here isn't the cracks themselves but the metadata. That site has a hidden filter for crack patterns by season and temperature. I spent an hour comparing winter frost heave cracks to summer heat expansion ones. It's basically geology but for pavement.
