The county site's PDF calendar beat my fancy planner app

I spent 3 months juggling a paid app for trash pickup, recycling weeks, and street sweeping in Fresno. It kept mixing up the schedule. Got fed up and checked the county's plain HTML page with a static PDF. Took 4 minutes to print and tape to the fridge. Now I miss zero pickups and it never crashes. Anyone else ditched an app for a boring government file?

Boring government file" is the best description honestly. I did the same thing with our recycling schedule, kept getting push alerts from the app for the wrong week and finally just printed the city's one page PDF. It's kinda sad that paper on a fridge beats tech, but there's something nice about not having to unlock my phone at 6am to check if it's green bin day.
