Can we talk about talking to plants

I always thought it was silly. My neighbor in Tucson swore by it for her tomato plants. Last spring, I tried it on one of my struggling succulents. I talked to it for five minutes every morning for a month. That plant grew twice as fast as the others. Now I'm split. Part of me thinks it's just coincidence. The other part thinks maybe the CO2 from my breath helped. Has anyone else tested this and seen real results?

Funny you mention that. My aunt used to play classical music for her ferns and swore they grew more leaves. Never tried the talking thing myself.

Oh wow, that's actually a thing! I read an article a while back that said plants might react to vibrations, like from sound waves. So maybe the music or even talking does something. I'm still not sure I believe it enough to chat with my spider plant, though.
