Just realized I've been bottom watering my pothos wrong for 2 years
I always thought you were supposed to let the pot sit in water for like an hour so it soaks up everything. Last week my friend who runs a plant shop in Portland watched me do it and asked why I was drowning the roots. Turns out 10 to 15 minutes is plenty and anything longer can cause rot, which explains why my leaves kept yellowing. I checked the roots and sure enough, half of them were mushy. Anyone else learn this the hard way, or am I the only one who overdid it?
