My $180 humidifier killed half my ferns in one weekend
Bought that fancy ultrasonic unit off Amazon and set it to 70% without checking the tank, next morning my Boston ferns were dripping and the leaves went brown by Sunday. Anyone else had a 'smart' gadget do more damage than good to their plants?

Read somewhere that 70% humidity is basically a rainforest, your ferns probably drowned.
