My entire batch of heirloom tomato seedlings got fried under my new grow light
I set the timer wrong and they got 18 straight hours of intense light yesterday. Anyone have a good seed source for 'Brandywine' that ships fast to Phoenix?

Brandywines are tough to restart this late, but you might still pull it off. Try looking for a local nursery that sells started plants, the big box stores sometimes get them in. If you have to order seeds, Territorial Seed Company has never let me down and they ship quick. Just keep that timer on a short leash next time.

That whole timer thing hits close to home. My neighbor once left his grow light on for a week straight while he was out of town. Came back to these sad, crispy little seedlings that looked like they'd been through the desert. He tried to save them with some crazy fertilizer mix, but it was a lost cause. Sometimes you just have to start over and laugh about it later.

Keep that timer on a short leash" - yeah, that's the real lesson right there. I've had two different timers just decide to stop working mid season. One got stuck on, lights blazing 24/7 for three days before I noticed. Seedlings looked like little roasted tomatoes. Now I use a backup mechanical timer alongside the digital one. Overkill maybe, but I sleep better knowing if one fails the other still keeps things sane.
