I watered every evening in June and the air felt thick and gross, switched to morning-only watering after a friend in Portland suggested it, and my tomato seedlings finally stopped rotting at the base, has anyone else seen this kind of overnight shift from just changing the schedule?

I used to think nighttime misting was fine too, but your "air felt thick and gross" line hit home. I had the same musty smell until I did the opposite and went dark, dry nights, and it fixed everything in about 10 days.
