Pruned my juniper bush barehanded, broke out in a rash that itched for days. @margaret377, your point about myths hits home now.

Washing with plain soap and water helps a ton. Gets the plant oils off your skin before they can do more damage. Just don't use hot water, makes the itching way worse.
