My secret 10 second trick for saving a half dead fern beat all the expensive sprays I bought
I caught a bacterial spot on my fiddle leaf early by wiping the leaves with a diluted hydrogen peroxide mix, has anyone else tried peroxide for root rot prevention?

Have you heard about using cinnamon as a natural rooting hormone? I read somewhere that it can help with root rot too. I've been sprinkling a little on the soil after watering and it seems to help keep things dry. Might be worth trying alongside the peroxide trick you mentioned.

Does it work better than just fixing the drainage first?

Cinnamon on soil for root rot? Man, that's like putting a band-aid on a broken pipe. You sprinkle that stuff around and the roots are still swimming down there. Fix the drainage first, then worry about fancy spices. I've seen people try everything from eggshells to coffee grounds to vodka before realizing dirt needs to breathe. Get a shovel and some gravel before you start making a pumpkin spice latte for your plant.
