The 2 month difference in my peace lily after switching to filtered water

I switched my peace lily from tap water to filtered water 2 months ago because I read about chlorine sensitivity. All the brown tips stopped forming and it pushed out 4 new leaves that stayed fully green. Anyone else notice their houseplants react that hard to water quality?

Filtered water is just a marketing gimmick, your soil was probably the issue.

Start by saying @wyatta30 is right that soil matters but filtered water made a visible difference for my pepper plants. Tap water in my city has enough chlorine to smell like a pool, and my plants were getting sad brown tips on their leaves. Switched to a basic brita pitcher for watering and the new growth came in green and healthy. Maybe your tap water is fine, but mine was definitely causing issues.
