Vent: I was sure my neighbor's 'moon garden' idea was just a fad
For months, my neighbor in Tucson kept telling me to plant only white flowers and silver foliage to make a garden glow at night. I thought it sounded silly until I visited her yard after dark last week. She had about fifteen Nicotiana plants in bloom, and the whole area had a soft, clear light that actually drew moths. Now I'm digging up a patch by my patio to try it. Has anyone else made a night garden that really worked?

It's funny how often we write off simple ideas before we see them in action. I've noticed that with a lot of things, from gardening to how people organize their homes. We get stuck in our own way of doing stuff and miss out on cool stuff that actually works. Your neighbor proved the point just by showing you, no big lecture needed. Makes me wonder what else I'm ignoring that's right in front of me, you know? Good luck with your patio patch.

Totally, it's like we build these mental walls against easy fixes. Saw the same thing with my dad refusing to use a slow cooker for years.
