Hit 100,000 bricks laid this week, here is what nobody tells you
Hit 100,000 bricks laid this week, here is what nobody tells you. Counted my tally book on Tuesday and I have laid just over 100,000 bricks since I started with my uncle back in 2011. That number surprised me because I never kept track before, I just showed up and worked. What hit me harder was that my first 20,000 took five years of bad habits and redoing corners, the last 80,000 came in about three years once I stopped rushing the butter joints. My hands feel it every morning now, but that milestone made me check my mixing ratios and level more often. Anyone else ever actually count their lifetime total, or is that just a weird thing I do to keep myself honest?
