Hot take: my foreman in Columbus told me to stop buttering both ends of the brick and I thought he was crazy
Old school guys swear by buttering the head and bed for a solid joint. But this foreman kept yelling at me to just butter the head and let the mortar squeeze do the rest. I fought him on it for like two weeks until I saw how much cleaner my joints looked and how much faster I got. Now I only butter the head unless it's a really shitty brick. Anyone else have a boss with a weird trick that actually worked out?
