Tbh, thinking about the time a bird nested in our brick pile mid-job. Had to work around it for a week. Different vibe back then.

Remember waiting for a single jpeg to load on dial-up for like five minutes? My cousin sent me a photo over AIM once and I literally went to make a snack. Now if a site takes three seconds we rage quit. And people had whole conversations in chat rooms with that awful connect noise screaming in the background. Wild.

My buddy had this old truck, the radio only picked up one station clearly. It was just static and farm reports for a whole summer. We'd drive around listening to grain prices because it was that or nothing. He finally got a tape deck adapter, felt like we'd reached the future.
