DAE think rice cookers are a waste of $30 when a pot and a lid do the same thing?
I tracked my electric bill for 3 months in my Tucson apartment and the little rice cooker on my counter pulled 1.4 kWh per batch versus 0.3 for the same rice on my gas stove. Everyone in my building swears by them but I ran the numbers twice because I couldn't believe it. Anyone else actually measure this or am I missing something about why people love them?
