Gas station coffee got fancy and I miss the old thermos days

Back in 2004 I worked third shift at a truck stop outside Reno, $1.09 got you a full thermos and free refills till the pot ran dry. Now a medium is $3.50 and they charge extra for the cardboard sleeve. Anyone else remember when being broke meant you could still afford a hot cup on the way to work?
