My uncle's 'just use duct tape' fix saved my fridge for now
My fridge handle snapped off last Tuesday and the replacement part was gonna run $45 at the local shop in Dayton. My uncle who fixes everything said duct tape the metal bracket back on and I laughed at him. I did it anyway with two layers of gorilla tape and its held up through 40+ opens a day since. Not pretty but it buys me 2 more months to hunt a used part on Craigslist. Anyone else got a janky fix that just refuses to die even when you want it to?

Duct tape is basically the universal third hand at this point. My dryer vent hose has been held on with electrical tape and a zip tie for like 8 months now cause the clamp rusted out. Every time I walk past the laundry room I think about fixing it proper, but it aint leaked once so here we are. You probably got another year left on that handle honestly, gorilla tape is no joke. Just wait till the tape starts leaving that sticky goo on everything, then you'll know its truly bonded for life.
