Noticed a huge difference in my grocery bill after I started shopping at 8pm instead of noon
I used to hit the store right after work around 5pm and spend like $80 a week on basic stuff. Then I started going at 8pm last month because I was bored one night. The meat section had clearance stickers on almost everything because it was close to the sell by date. I got a pack of chicken thighs for $3.50 that would have been $9 earlier. My weekly total dropped to around $45. The produce isn't as picked over but you can still find good stuff if you dig a bit. Has anyone else noticed the same thing with evening shopping?

Oh man, you just described my entire life now. I used to walk out of the store at noon feeling like I got robbed, spending $90 on basically air and sadness. Now I'm that weirdo shuffling around at 8pm with my cart full of clearance meat and marked down bakery bread. My boyfriend thinks I've turned into some kind of bargain vampire, but hey, our freezer is stuffed with $2 steaks and we eat like kings now. If being a grocery store weirdo is wrong, I don't want to be right.
