TIL the $19 "lifetime" phone case I bought online was just a $3 case with a sticker on it
I bought a case from one of those Instagram ads that said lifetime warranty and military grade drop protection for $19 plus $6 shipping. Three weeks later the corner cracked from a 2 foot drop onto my kitchen tile, so I went to file a claim. The warranty page wanted a $12 processing fee and a photo of the damage, and when I pushed back they just stopped replying to my emails. I dug around and found the exact same mold on a wholesale site for $3.20, the only difference was my version had a little card in the box. Has anyone actually gotten a warranty claim paid out on one of these, or do they all just ghost you after the fee?
