Hit exactly $50 for a full week of groceries last Tuesday and realized I was wasting cash at the deli counter for years.

It took me actually tracking every cent for once to see that buying a whole chicken and roasting it myself cost half what my usual pre-sliced turkey did, and now I'm curious if anyone else has a single swap that cut their bill way down.

Why do we just accept the easy way costs more? I switched from pre-shredded cheese to blocks and my monthly dairy bill dropped by almost ten bucks. Seems like the more someone else does to a food, the more you pay for it at the register.

Used to think the deli was actually the budget option somehow.
