I was dumping half a jar of pasta sauce in the trash every single week
I was rinsing out the jar and watching all that sauce go down the drain, not even thinking about it, until my roommate saw me do it and asked why I wasnt scraping the sides with a spatula first. Turns out I was throwing away probably a third of a $3 jar, which adds up to like $50 a year just on sauce I already bought. Now I scrape the jar clean with a rubber spatula and get a whole extra serving out of every single one, plus my pasta night actually tastes like more than just noodles. Has anyone else caught themselves wasting food out of pure habit like this and found a dumb simple fix?
