My coworker Dave finally got me to stop buying bagged beans

Dave makes coffee in the break room every morning with a $15 Mr. Coffee and some whole beans he buys in bulk from the farmers market. He said the key is just grinding them yourself right before you brew, and it saves like $6 a week. Have you ever switched from pre-ground to whole beans and noticed a big difference?

Tell Dave I said he's clearly got too much spare time on his hands. Next thing you know he'll be roasting his own beans in the toaster oven.

My neighbor tried that once with a toaster oven and set off the smoke alarm at 2am. The whole street thought there was a fire and the fire department showed up in full gear. Bean roasting can wait, just buy good coffee.
