Overheard a cashier tell someone that 'family size' boxes are actually smaller now than they were five years ago
I was at Aldi last Tuesday and the cashier told a customer that the family size pasta box used to be 16 ounces but now it's 12 ounces for the same price, and that basically means we're all getting tricked into buying more boxes to make the same meal, so has anyone else noticed this with other brands?

So are we supposed to start bringing a scale to the grocery store now just to make sure we're getting what we paid for? Because I swear, I bought a box of crackers last week that felt lighter in my hand and sure enough the ounces dropped from 10 to 8.5 with the same stupid "family size" label. You gotta keep an eye on @oscarwright's numbers too, because if Aldi is shrinking pasta by a couple of ounces they're probably shrinking the box itself to make you think nothing changed. Next thing you know, a "loaf of bread" will be five slices.
