That time I tried to meal prep at Costco and it backfired hard
I went to Costco last Saturday thinking I'd save big by buying in bulk for weekly meals. Grabbed a giant tub of spinach and a 5lb bag of chicken breasts, felt like a pro. Got home and realized I don't have enough fridge space for half of it, and the spinach went bad by Tuesday. Now I'm stuck eating wilted greens and chicken for a week straight. Anyone else get tricked by the bulk savings only to waste half?

Man, I've been there more times than I care to admit. You're not alone in getting fooled by those bulk sizes, Costco really plays with your head when you're staring down those warehouse aisles. The spinach thing is brutal, I've had that exact same experience where half the tub turns into slime before you can even get through it. My advice for next time, separate and freeze portions of the chicken the day you get home. And maybe grab a smaller bag of greens from a regular grocery store instead. It stings to waste money like that, but at least you learned it once instead of repeating it.

Oh wow, a 5lb bag of chicken? That's wild! I mean, I get the appeal but do you realize that's like 10-12 meals of just chicken right there? I would be so over it by day three. And the spinach thing is brutal, Costco produce is like a ticking time bomb. I swear that giant tub is designed to look impressive but it rots before you even open the lid half the time. You gotta freeze that chicken right away and maybe only buy frozen veggies in bulk there. Sucks that you're stuck eating sad greens though, that's the worst feeling after thinking you were being so smart.
