I always did my weekly run at the big chain store near my place in San Antonio and never thought twice about it. Last month my card got declined for a $210 haul and I was so embarrassed I walked out and drove to the little market on 5th instead. Same stuff, rice, beans, chicken thighs, peppers, onions, eggs, and it came to $94. I'm not exaggerating, that's the receipt. Anyone else made the switch to a smaller ethnic market and seen a gap this big, or did I just get lucky with one spot?
