Bought a cheap travel towel in Lisbon and it was basically a wet paper towel

Grabbed one for about 8 euros at a market near the Rossio station. Figured it would be fine for a beach day. Thing was so thin it barely dried my hands, let alone my whole body after a swim. Ended up using my t-shirt instead. Anyone know a good brand that actually works and packs small?

My buddy's travel towel shed so much lint it looked like a sheep exploded in his bag.

Ever try a microfiber towel? I used to think they were all junk until I got a good one that actually dries stuff.

Honestly, that "wet paper towel" line is too real. Tbh I've been burned by those cheap market towels too. They feel like drying off with a napkin. Ngl you gotta spend a bit more to get one that actually soaks up water. A good microfiber towel is a total game changer, it actually dries you and packs down small. Don't waste your money on the junk ones.
