I always assumed airport food was a total rip-off, but a weird sign in Denver proved me wrong
I was stuck at Denver International with a 4-hour layover last week, starving but not wanting to drop $20 on a sad burger. I saw a small sign near gate B80 pointing to a 'crew cafeteria' on the mezzanine level. Out of pure curiosity, I followed it. Turns out, it's a full cafeteria open to the public, with prices meant for airline staff. I got a huge plate of hot food, a drink, and a piece of fruit for $8.50. The cashier said it's been there for years, but they don't advertise it to travelers. It was a total game changer for my budget. Has anyone else found a hidden spot like this in a major airport?

Honestly that's cool but... I've never seen anything like that. Most airports just feel like a trap for your wallet.

No kidding, that's a real find. Felt the same way in Atlanta once, found a little deli counter tucked behind the main food court. It was all for the people who work at the gates. Got a massive sandwich and chips for what felt like normal store prices. Makes you wonder how many of these spots we just walk right past, right?
