I thought flight price tracking apps were a total scam for years

Honestly, I refused to download any of them because I figured they just sold your data. Then my friend got a round trip to Lisbon for $380 last fall using one, and the dates actually worked for her. She showed me the alerts on her phone, and I finally tried it for a trip to Mexico City. I set an alert and got a ticket for $220 round trip three weeks later. Ngl, I felt pretty dumb for missing out on that for so long. Has anyone else found a specific app that works better for certain regions?

It's frustrating when a tool works for one person but not for your own routes. I've had the same experience with different apps for different parts of the world. You just have to find the one that matches your travel pattern.

You ever notice how the same thing happens with everything these days? It's not just travel apps, it's like that with streaming services too. @christopher_singh92 is right that you gotta find what fits your own pattern. I've had people tell me a certain music app is the best thing ever, but it gives me nothing but junk for my playlists. It's almost like the more personal something gets, the more it only works for one type of person. Just how it is now I guess.

My cousin swears by this one app for flights to Asia, but it never finds anything good for my usual trips to Europe.
