Just booked a flight to Lisbon for $180 by setting a price alert on a Tuesday afternoon

I kept checking for weeks and the price finally dropped when I looked at 2 PM, not the usual midnight search. Anyone else notice a specific time of day when airline deals pop up?

Setting alerts for Tuesday afternoons is a solid move, I've seen the same thing. @brian_murray is onto something with those morning checks too, maybe airlines just update their sales at random times. I clear my browser cookies before searching, it seems to help avoid those fake price hikes.

Ever wonder if the airport you pick changes the price more than the time of day? I've seen flights from a smaller nearby airport drop way lower than the big hub, even at weird hours. Clearing cookies like @eric_wright77 does is smart, but maybe they also track if you keep searching the same route and bump it up. Gotta mix up your search spots too, like trying different devices.

Nice find! I snagged a cheap flight to Barcelona last month by checking around 10 AM on a Thursday.
